30 minute practice that might make all the difference.  

5 minutes:  start with a warm up to warm your fingers up.

10 minutes: do your scales and other technical exercises and any theory you were assigned

10 minutes:  practice your specific homework from your teacher

5 minutes: play whatever you want!  Goof off and experiment!  Have fun!  

 

Sometimes practicing like this can make a 30 minute practice go by faster and help students to achieve goals for better results and better lessons!
